The Ninth Annual American Family Survey: Perceptions and Realities of Issues Families Face Today

American Enterprise Institute

December 5, 2023

When it comes to the most important challenges families face today, the public has ideas about how the economy, family structure, health, and other issues rank—but these perceptions don’t always match what the public reports as the biggest issues for their own families.

The ninth annual American Family Survey delves into the experiences of American families in 2023, putting these issues in the context of trends that hint at the future of marriage and parenting. The poll also explores controversies in public education, shifts in Americans’ views on abortion, and concerns about social media.

Please join us for the release of this year’s American Family Survey results, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
