Fewer Americans are getting married and starting families, and that is a bad sign for the country. That’s because nothing matters more for the pursuit of happiness and the health of the American Dream than strong and stable marriages. In his new book, Get Married: Why Americans Must Defy the Elites, Forge Strong Families, and Save Civilization, W. Bradford Wilcox of the University of Virginia and AEI suggests that getting married and establishing a thriving family is the best path to a prosperous life. But Americans need more support from the law and our culture.
Accordingly, as Valentine’s Day approaches, Dr. Wilcox will explain how Americans can build robust families and how public policy can help revive America’s most important social institution.
